Schroders makes new hire to Nordic client team
Schroders has recruited Ludvig Löfving to further expand the firm’s client relationship capabilities in the Nordic region.
Ludvig Löfving joins the asset manager from BNP Paribas Asset Management where he was Nordic client relationship manager for wholesale and institutional clients. Prior to that, he worked at the Swedish asset manager Didner & Gerge for five years. He will be based in Stockholm and will report to Henrik Jonsson, head of Nordic region.
“One of our top strategic priorities is to increase our local footprint further to develop even closer relationships with our Nordic clients and we have during the last years grown the Nordic team significantly,” says Henrik Jonsson, head of Nordic region at Schroders. “Ludvig brings a wealth of experience from the distribution part of the market in combination with deep insights into the Nordic region and our local investors in general. We believe that he will be well-placed to deliver exceptional results for our clients and help them grow their business.”
Commenting on the appointment, Ludvig Löfving says: “I am excited to continue to foster meaningful dialogues with Nordic clients and to be part of a large and well-established Nordic team. Assisting clients in achieving their objectives in an ever-changing investment landscape is my passion and I look forward to leveraging Schroders strategies effectively within their portfolios.”
Schroders was one of the first foreign asset managers to establish a presence in the region, opening its first office in Denmark in 1989. The asset manager now has close to 30 people based in the Nordics. While the biggest group is based in Stockholm, it also has staff in Copenhagen and Helsinki.
“We’re happy to have a mix of roles in our offices, we have generalist sales directors with very close relationships with our clients, specialists in private markets and the impact space for example and we also have a Nordic real estate investment team. Furthermore, we have had several investment professionals from different teams relocating to the Nordics, which makes our daily life and jobs even more dynamic and interesting,” says Henrik Jonsson.
