Former Handelsbanken selector joins Fundrella
Fundrella has assigned Johanna Högfeldt as senior advisor to support the company’s mission to elevate its fund selection platform.
The company highlights the first-hand experience of manager research and fund selection that Johanna Högfeldt brings with her as they seek to introduce a whole new interactive platform. “We are thrilled to have Johanna join our team at this exciting phase of development,” says Wava Bodin, founder and CEO of Fundrella.
Johanna Högfeldt joins Fundrella from Handelsbanken where she most recently was responsible for manager research on behalf of Handelsbanken private banking and Handelsbanken Liv. She has previously also worked as a senior investment strategist at Swedbank and as a senior fixed income portfolio manager at Riksbanken.
“My experience in manager selection aligns perfectly with Fundrella’s vision to modernize and digitize the fund selection process. By shifting the focus from manual ESG screenings to fostering collaboration at the policy level, we can actually create meaningful change. Today’s AI-driven technology has the potential to streamline even the most conventional aspects of the fund industry, and Fundrella is leading the way with this exciting innovation,” says Johanna Högfeldt.
In a conversation, Johanna Högfeldt explains that when she worked as a selector she found it valuable to screen funds for a match on the policy level instead of relying on holdings based analysis.
“Holdings in a fund are of course not statistic. I used the Fundrella platform as a selector and found it valuable to be able to find external managers that matched on a policy level with our own sustainability guidelines. It was an efficient way to reach a shorter list of funds to look at more closely,” she says and adds that it’s also about streamlining the administrative work of a fund selector which is a lot about gathering data and documentation from different sources.
“With Fundrella´s current vision to broaden the platform to include more than ESG data the platform will become even more useful in the complete selection process,” Johanna Högfeldt says.
