Magnus Kristensen joins Impax as head of Nordics
Impax Asset Management, a specialist asset manager investing in the transition to a more sustainable economy, has appointed Magnus Kristensen as its head of Nordics.
Magnus Kristensen joins from Federated Hermes where he was head of Nordics and he has previously also worked at Jyske Bank and Neuberger Berman. He will, together with four portfolio managers from Absalon, be based in Impax’s new Danish office in Køge, near Copenhagen. Impax completed its acquisition of Danish fixed income manager Absalon Corporate Credit in July this year. It was formerly part of the Formuepleje Group and serves European institutional investors and Danish high net worth individuals.
Impax has operated in the region since 1999 when it was asked by a Danish bank to design and manage an environmental fund investing in listed equities. Viktoria von Kunow, who previously led Impax’s business development activities in the region, will now focus on clients in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
“Impax is renowned for its expertise in investing in the transition to a more sustainable economy and has a long history of serving Nordic clients. I’m really looking forward to working closely with the whole team to help drive forward its presence in the region,” Magnus Kristensen said in a comment.
